Some honeymoons are all about switching off on a beautiful beach. Others are about adventure, wildlife and once-in-a-lifetime moments. Julian and Carol’s was the perfect mix of both, with a tailor-made South Africa and Mauritius honeymoon that gave them time on safari at Pumba Private Game Reserve in the Eastern Cape, followed by a stay at Victoria for 2 Beachcomber in Mauritius, an adults-only section designed for couples.
It was exactly the kind of two-centre honeymoon so many couples ask us about — something that feels special from the start, runs smoothly throughout, and balances excitement with proper time to relax. Pumba is known as a five-star safari lodge in the malaria-free Eastern Cape, while Victoria for 2 offers adults-only rooms, its own restaurant, and swim-up bar in Mauritius, so the combination really does bring together two very different but complementary experiences.
Claire helped plan Julian and Carol’s itinerary with that balance in mind. Safari brought those unforgettable early mornings, game drives and camera-filled moments, while Mauritius gave them the chance to slow the pace, soak up the sunshine and enjoy the luxury of simply being away together.

Everyone says ‘what was the best bit ?’ - there were so many. Safari was amazing, but being treated to luxury all week in Mauritius was equally fun.
