Emma Moore

Personal Travel Consultant

Where do I start with my passion for travel? With over 30 years' experience in the travel industry, I’ve helped thousands of clients plan everything from relaxed family beach escapes to once-in-a-lifetime honeymoons.

I began my career managing a busy high-street store and now focus on offering a more personal, tailored service - where every trip is planned with care and attention, from the first conversation to the moment you return home.

I specialise in tailor-made getaways, family holidays, long-haul escapes, cruises and weddings abroad. Whether it’s an intimate Caribbean ceremony or a big celebration in Mexico (one of my largest was 52 guests!), I love being part of creating those unforgettable moments.

No two days are the same in travel - and that’s exactly why I love what I do.

My background

Born and raised in Nailsea, I’ve always had a passion for travel. My career started in 1990 with Bakers Dolphin, where I worked my way up to managing a thriving city-centre branch in Bristol.

When the business merged with First Choice (which later became TUI), I continued to grow in the industry, gaining invaluable experience across all areas of travel.

In 2024, I decided to take the leap into independent travel, reconnecting with my former colleague Claire Oliver and joining Luxury Dream Holidays. It was an easy decision - I wanted to offer my clients a truly personal service, combining my experience with the flexibility to tailor everything around their individual needs.

Travel isn’t just my job - it’s my passion. I love discovering new places, sharing my knowledge and making sure my clients feel completely confident, excited and cared for.

Where I've been

I’ve been fortunate to explore some incredible destinations over the years, including:

  • The Maldives – My ultimate beach destination - full of wow factors, from the coral reefs and stunning beaches to the warm hospitality and laid-back atmosphere.

  • Greece – I love the relaxed way of life, the food, the culture and the people - it always feels like home.

  • Thailand – So much variety! Bustling cities, paradise beaches, cultural experiences and incredible food.

  • The Caribbean (Jamaica, Dominican Republic, Mexico) – The Caribbean has my heart. From climbing Dunn’s River Falls in Jamaica and swimming with dolphins in the Dominican Republic to visiting Chichen Itza - one of the Seven Wonders of the World - in Mexico, every trip has been unforgettable.

  • Kenya, Thailand, Hong Kong, Mauritius, Australia, New Zealand, California and Florida - Each one offering something unique, from wildlife encounters to vibrant cities and stunning coastline.

  • More recently, I’ve been back to Jamaica, Rhodes and Dublin - a brilliant city break!

My favourite type of holiday

How can you pin down just one favourite holiday?!? I get asked this all the time, but honestly, it depends on where you are and who you’re with. I love to travel - whether it’s a beach escape, an adventure or exploring new cultures. It’s all about the experiences you have and the memories you make along the way.

My favourite places

  • Maldives – The ultimate tropical paradise.

  • Greece – A culture, cuisine and coastline I never tire of.

  • Thailand – The perfect mix of relaxation, adventure and cultural experiences.

  • Jamaica – Embracing the island and the jerk chicken!

My top three hotels

  • Kuredu, Maldives – A paradise of perfect white-sand beaches and the most breathtaking sunsets I’ve ever witnessed. Pure relaxation with incredible views at every turn.

  • RIU Ocho Rios, Jamaica – The perfect blend of Jamaican hospitality, an ideal location for visiting Dunn’s River Falls, and a great selection of speciality dining and entertainment.

  • Sensatori, Rhodes – A fantastic choice for food lovers, with exceptional dining, an impressive cocktail menu and outstanding staff who make the experience even more special.

Where I want to go next

South Africa is at the top of my list for a safari adventure and exploring the Winelands – a real bucket list trip!

My priorities when booking a holiday for a client

  • Listening carefully to understand what they want.

  • Matching them to the right holiday, every time.

  • Treating every booking as if it were my own.

  • Building relationships - so many of my clients become friends!

What I can't travel without

  • My passport (obviously!)

  • A travel pillow for those long flights

  • The best travel companions – my children or lifelong friends

  • An open mind to embrace the local culture

My best piece of travel advice

Always have a holiday booked - because looking forward to your next adventure is half the fun!

When I'm not working...

When I’m not planning holidays, you’ll probably find me:

  • Swimming (the perfect way to relax)

  • Spending time with my friends - I love a good get-together!

  • Holidaying with my children - they’re my world.
