Luxury Holidays in The Seychelles

Why We Love the Seychelles

There’s something about the Seychelles that feels different the moment you arrive. The air is warm, the sea is every shade of blue you can imagine, and life seems to slow down in the best possible way.

This is one of those destinations that really does live up to the pictures. Giant granite boulders, soft white sand, lush green hills and quiet coves make it feel wildly beautiful, but never showy. It’s refined, relaxed and properly special.

What we love most is that it can be whatever you need it to be. For some of our clients, it’s all about switching off in a gorgeous villa with a view of the ocean and nowhere else to be. For others, it’s island-hopping, exploring nature, getting out on the water and seeing as much of the archipelago as possible.

The Seychelles works brilliantly for honeymoons, big birthday trips and once-in-a-lifetime escapes, but it’s also lovely for families and couples who want somewhere peaceful, safe and beautifully unspoilt. And because each island has its own feel, we can tailor the trip so it feels personal rather than one-size-fits-all.

Whether you want barefoot luxury, proper privacy, or a trip that mixes beach time with adventure, the Seychelles is one of those places that stays with you long after you get home.

Twin-Centre & Island-Hopping Trips

One of the best things about the Seychelles is that you don’t have to stay in one place. Combining islands gives you a much fuller feel for the destination, and we can also build in a cruise for a completely different view of it all.

Honeymoons & Romance

This is honeymoon territory in the very best sense — private villas, sunset boat trips, beautiful beaches and that lovely feeling of being far away from everyday life. Whether you want complete privacy or a mix of adventure and downtime, we’ll shape it around you.

Families

The Seychelles is brilliant for families who want somewhere safe, scenic and easy to enjoy together. There’s plenty to do beyond the beach, and the right resort makes all the difference when it comes to space, service and keeping everyone happy.

Constance Lemuria

Praslin · Luxury resort · ★★★★★

Constance Lemuria is one of the Seychelles classics, and for good reason. It has a really spacious feel, beautiful suites and villas, and access to some of the most stunning beaches on Praslin, including the famous Anse Georgette.

It’s a brilliant choice for couples and honeymooners, but it also works well for guests who want a bit more to do. There’s golf, lovely dining, a gorgeous stretch of coastline and easy access to some of the island’s best natural highlights.

Experiences You'll Love

Best Time to Visit

The Seychelles is a lovely year-round destination, which is one of the reasons it works so well for so many of our clients. Temperatures stay warm, and even when conditions shift a bit through the year, there’s always a good time to go depending on what you want from the trip.

Peak Season

April - May and October - November

These are often considered the sweet spots, with warm weather, calmer seas and excellent conditions for getting out on the water and moving between islands.

Warmer, More Humid Months

December - March

This time of year is hotter and more humid, with a greater chance of tropical showers. It’s still a lovely time to travel, especially if you’re mainly focused on relaxing at a beautiful resort.

Cooler, Breezier Period

June - September

These months tend to be a little breezier, particularly on certain coasts, but they’re still warm and sunny by most standards. It can be a great time for travellers who prefer slightly less humidity.

Sweet Spot

April, May, October and November

If you’re after that balance of lovely weather, good touring conditions and a really easy overall feel, these months are often hard to beat.

Practical Bits

  • Flight time: Usually around 10 to 13 hours from the UK, depending on routing and stopover.

  • Visa: UK passport holders do not usually need a visa in advance for short stays, though normal entry requirements still apply.

  • Currency: Seychellois Rupee (SCR), although many hotels and tourism services also quote in euros.

  • Time zone: GMT+4, so the Seychelles is ahead of the UK.

  • Driving: Left-hand side, which makes self-driving on Mahe feel more familiar for UK travellers.

  • Language: English, French and Seychellois Creole are widely spoken.

Frequently Asked Questions

Would a cruise work with a hotel stay?

Yes — very well. A short three-, four- or seven-night cruise can be a brilliant addition if you want to see more of the islands while still enjoying time in a lovely hotel.

Is Mahe worth exploring beyond the resort?

Yes, definitely. Mahe has some beautiful drives, quieter beaches and lovely local spots, so hiring a car for at least part of your stay can really add to the trip.

Should I stay on one island or combine a few?

If time allows, we’d usually recommend combining islands. It gives you a better feel for the Seychelles and lets you enjoy different landscapes, hotel styles and experiences in one trip.

Is the Seychelles good for honeymoons?

Absolutely. It’s one of our favourite honeymoon destinations because it combines privacy, natural beauty and some genuinely gorgeous hotels, and it can be tailored to feel as restful or as adventurous as you like.
