United States

The USA is a country of 50 states, covering a huge swath of North America from Alaska in the North West to Hawaii in the Pacific Ocean – each one of them offers a vastly different holiday experience.

We all know of America’s iconic cities: New York on the Est Coast, the financial hub of the USA with its bright lights and instantly recognisable landmarks. Las Vegas, a city that never sleeps and where you can do the ‘unbelievable’. Los Angeles with its Hollywood glamour and the wonderful San Francisco.

However, step away from the bright lights of the cities and open your eyes to what the rest of the USA has to offer!

The sunshine state of Florida, not only offers theme park thrills but is a paradise for film worshipers, space fans, shopaholics and sun worshipers alike.

If you are after adventure then stay on one of the ranches in Texas, soak up some Texan culture and explore the old Frontier – a little line dancing might be on offer if you dare!

As far as natural beauty is concerned, head for Wyoming, famous for its Yellowstone National Park – an outpost of rugged beauty and home to some of the USA’s most diverse wildlife.

For a trip with adventure, arts and culture and a relaxing break then consider Massachusetts. Spend some time in gorgeous Boston, rich in history and culture and make sure you take time to explore Cape Cod and the islands of Martha’s Vineyard with is classic New England way of life.

If you fancy the exotic, then Hawaii will not disappoint. Dramatic landscapes, beautiful beaches and a welcome unlike anywhere else, Hawaii is paradise. Whether you are after an actioned packed adventure or pure relaxation, you’ll find your spot amongst these magnificent islands.

Canada, located in the Northern part of North America has coastlines along the Atlantic, Pacific and Arctic Oceans. Sparsely populated, much of this country is dominated by forests and the tundra. Its three largest cities Toronto, Montreal and Vancouver house many of its citizens and provide a great base from which to start or end your Canadian adventure.

With stunning scenery and the chance to glimpse a bear or two, the Rockies attract people all year round and provide a great location for many Winter sports. It also provides an ideal backdrop for an amazing photo album!

However, Canada offers more than just a pretty picture. Explore its natural wonders including the most fresh water lakes in the world and the legendary Niagara Falls. Look out over Toronto from the CN Tower, complete with floor to ceiling window walls and the all new glass floor. No visit to Vancouver would be complete without a wander through the famous Stanley Gardens or a cable car ride to The Peak of Vancouver at Grouse Mountain.

If its adventure, touring, a city break or a luxury hotel stay then you can find all of this in this beautiful country.

Bermuda is located off the east coast of North America and is made up of 181 islands – 8 of the main ones are linked by bridges. With a distinctive British feel where British bobbies walk the beat, afternoon tea is a national institution and the locals have a love for cricket. Bermuda has a charm which is incredibly hard to resist.

This island is well known for its pretty pink-sand beaches which are coloured by red marine organisms that live under the coral. The most popular of these is undoubtedly Horseshoe Bay on the south coast – busy during peak season but well worth a visit.

For such a small island there’s plenty of activities for visitors to enjoy from world-class golf courses with stunning ocean views to incredible dive sites. One of Bermuda’s unique attractions is its subterranean world of caves and grottos. The most famous of these complexes are the Crystal and Fantasy Caves. Filled with water and with stalactites hanging from the roofs, they are criss-crossed by floating walkways. One of well-known Bermudian resorts, Grotto Bay, even features its own grottos and you can swim in the pools or even enjoy a treatment at the underground spa.

The colourful and welcoming capital of Hamilton, which looks like something from a film set, has a central island setting overlooking the bustling Hamilton Harbour. The city has been the centre of the shipping trade and today it is the port of call for a number of North Atlantic cruise liners. Its visitors wander through the charming narrow streets that lead off Front Street and they are well worth a wander. To escape for just an hour, visit cannon-scattered gardens of Hamilton Fort and afford wonderful views of the city and harbour.

With top class hotels offering the most luxurious of facilities and world-renowned cuisine, Bermuda is an excellent choice for a peaceful and relaxing holiday.
