Tucked away in the South of the island does not mean that there is nothing to do – there are countless things to keep you occupied during your stay.

Gym – guests at Shandrani can make use of the gymnasium which has specialist equipment and free weights. Within the gym there are also a number of aerobic classes for you to join in with.

Land Sports – With six floodlit tennis courts, table tennis volleyball and bocci ball there is plenty to do. The hotel offers complimentary group tennis lessons and racket use (balls need to be taken or purchased) and mountain bikes are also available.

Golf – Shandrani Beachcomber has its own 9-hole, Par 29 pitch and putt golf course on-site with complimentary green fees and club hire. However, Shandrani guests can also take advantage of preferential rates at the Avalon Golf Estate, situated just 30 minutes from the resort. Tee times at Avalon can be booked upon arrival at Shandrani.

Water Sports – with its perfect location on Blue Bay, you can experience a whole host of water-sports including many complimentary such as water skiing, windsurfing, glass bottom boat trip, kayaks and pedal boats – there are also weekly free group windsurfing and sailing lessons. Deep sea fishing and Diving at the Shandrani’s own PADI dive centre are available, with the chance to explore the ancient wrecks nearby.

Pools - Shandrani has two pools, one with a shallow children’s area within the main hotel as well as the pool within the spa area.

Spa and Salon – Spa Beachcomber at Shandrani is set amidst tropical gardens and is a wonderful setting for guests to relax and unwind. With 16 single and 4 double massage cabins as well as a sauna, hammam and pool, this is a Spa with something for everyone. Within the area is also a beauty parlour and hair salon.

Children’s Club – Set in tropical gardens, the Shandrani’s kids club is an excellent place for children aged 3-11 to make friends and to take part in fun-filled activities. From learning how to saga dance to enjoying some of the water sports, your children will not want to leave!

Babysitting service with qualified child care assistance is also available at a charge.

All of the restaurants at Shandrani Beachcomber are included in the All-Inclusive package. Three of which offer a la carte and fine dining experiences. As well as over 40 selected wines, soft drinks and imported spirits, Champagne is served by the glass from 6pm every evening.

Le Grand Port – International cuisine with live cooking stations and a buffet option. In a wonderful location close to the pool and beach with outside seating.

Le Sirius Grill & Bar – In a great location, looking out over the hotel's second pool. Service a wide range of international cuisine.

Ponte Vecchio – Italian Trattoria with a lively atmosphere, set in the heart of the hotel’s entertainment area. Serves Mediterranean a la carte cuisine.

Teak Elephant – Enjoy a Thai fine dining taster menu that is filled with all sorts of flavours and spices from the East. As this is an intimate restaurant it is recommended that reservations are made early in your stay to avoid any disappointment. For adults and children over the age of 12 years only.

Blue Bay Bar – In the heart of the hotel and overlooking the main pool, the Blue Bay Bar is where you will find your pancakes, snakes, tea and coffee in the afternoon before it turns into the main are for people to gather in the evening alongside the nightly entertainment.

Le Sirius Bar – A quieter bar area serving drinks during the day and evening. In a great location overlooking the second pool and perfect for a pre-diner drink at Le Sirius Grill.

Accommodation – All rooms apartments and suites are sea facing and are good for both couples and families alike.

Superior Room – Split level open plan rooms with a sitting area, terrace or balcony. Situated close to the main facilities and reception.

Deluxe Rooms – offering more space than the superior rooms with a large bedroom with a lounge and dressing room. They are located more towards the tip of the peninsula.

Deluxe Ground Floor Room – as the Deluxe rooms but with direct access from your terrace to the beach.

2 Bedroom Family Apartment – located on the ground and first floor, this room type is ideal for families with younger children. Made up of one king size bedroom with en suite bathroom and dressing room and one children’s bedroom with bunk beds and an en suite shower room.

2 Bedroom Deluxe Family Apartment – great for families being two connecting Deluxe rooms, two full-size bathrooms.

2 Bedroom Family Suite – for the ultimate in space and luxury at Shandrani, the 2-bedroom family suite has a beautiful location overlooking the ocean and just a few steps from the beach. On 2 floors with a lounge and dining room, it also has 2 king size bedrooms with en suite bathrooms and either a terrace or private balcony from both.

Senior Suites – one-bedroom Senior Suites are situated on the first floor and provide contemporary accommodation with direct access to a great stretch of beach. A beautiful bedroom with bathroom and dressing room as well as a separate spacious lounge area. A perfect room type for those on a special celebration holiday.

situated in the South of the island, Shandrani Beachcomber is just 4 miles from the airport and perfect for anyone who does not want a long transfer to their hotel. However, please bear in mind that although some aircraft can be seen and heard, Mauritius is a small island and flights are infrequent.
