Gym – A state of the art gymnasium with the very latest fitness machines. Personal trainers are available for one to one sessions. Classes for just about everything are available from Zumba to Kinesis, Spinning to Yoga.

Land Sports – The Royal Palm has 3 floodlit tennis courts, a squash court, table tennis and Bocciball. It also offers volley ball, football and archery sessions. Group tennis lessons are free of charge, but you can also have private tuition which is charged locally.

Watersports – With the perfect ocean for watersports there is plenty on offer at the Royal Palm. Water-skiing, windsurfing, glass bottom boat, kayaks and pedal boats are all complimentary. If you fancy a day trip to remember you can always hire the hotel speed boat and head off for some snorkeling and a private picnic on one of the islands. Deep sea fishing and diving is available from the hotel – it has its own PADI Dive Centre.

Pools – The Royal Palm has 3 pools for its guests to enjoy either for your early morning swim or for relaxing around in the day.

Spa – A perfect sanctuary for quiet relaxation – set within tropical gardens and centered around a cascading pool the spa here is considered one of the finest on the island. With indoor and outdoor treatment rooms, there are also dedicated rooms for Reiki, Thai massage and Ayurvedic treatments. These are offered alongside an impressive range of Clarins beauty treatments. The Spa is also home to 2 hairdressing and 2 beauty salons for your every need!

Children’s Club – You can sit back and relax knowing that your children will be well looked after by fully qualified staff, in one of the best kid’s clubs on the island. Available for children aged 3-11, they will be treated to action packed activities and fun filled days. Not just the normal children’s activities, at the Royal Palm they will learn how to prepare local dishes, to Sega dance and to venture out on the glass bottom boat to learn all about what lives in the sea.

There is also a baby-sitting service for a small fee, specially prepared food for infants and toddlers as well as early dining for the little ones. The hotel can also provide room equipment, bottle warmers, car seats and bed guards and of course you are close to the shops of Grand Baie if you need any further provisions that you may not have taken with you.

Le Bar Plage – Restaurant and Beach Bar. Perfect beachfront location for lunch, with table set under the trees providing a wonderfully shaded area with panoramic views across the bay. Serves light snacks and a selection of chef’s special salads made using the finest local produce.

La Goelette – International cuisine and local specialties. This is the hotels main restaurant where you can get breakfast and dinner in the evening. In the day it is casual an on an evening it turns into an elegant dining area with the most stunning view across the bay.

La Brezza – Italian Trattoria. Set on two open air terraces overlooking the lagoon it is open for a la carte diner every evening and provide an elegant dining experience for all its guests.

Private Dining – Guest at the Royal Palm can also experience a private dining option where you can have a full meal service brought to your balcony or terrace – all served by your own personal waiter. For small parties there is also the option of dining at the Captains Table – a private dining area close to the pool in the main building.

69 all suite luxury rooms at the Royal Palm are some of the finest in Mauritius. All suites are spacious and sumptuous furnished, all have views towards the ocean.

Junior Suites – 27 of them, located on all floors and are close to the beach.

Golf Suites – based on a Junior Suite but with lots of Golf Extras included. 

Tropical Suites – 4 of them, located on the first floor with large terrace and stairs leading up from the gardens. 

Palm Suites – 7 in total, are located on the ground floor and provide excellent access to the terrace and gardens. Spacious bedroom with lounge area and large bathroom. 

Ocean Suites – 15 in total, located on the ground and first floors and looking out over the ocean. Spacious bedroom with large separate lounge, palatial bathroom and a double terrace opening onto the gardens and sea. 

Garden Suites – 3 in total all located on the ground floor. With a large open plan bedroom and living room and a second bedroom with ensuite shower room and twin beds suitable for 2 young children this room is a great option for families.

Senior Suites – 8 in total, are located on the ground and first floors with private stairs offering direct access to the gardens and beach beyond. With a separate lounge, spacious bathroom and walk in wardrobe and a terrace or balcony. 

Penthouse Suite – just the one of these in the hotel. It is located on the top floor of the hotel with stunning ocean views. The bedroom has access to the balcony whilst the living room leads onto an extensive furnished balcony, ideal for private dining. Superb bathroom with large dressing room. 

Presidential Suite – 3 of these prestigious suites in total, all located on the top floor and have breathtaking views of the sea from their spacious balconies. Made up of 2 large bedrooms each with ensuite bathrooms. A huge living room that leads out onto a large balcony, big enough for sunbathing and for outdoor dining or entertaining. 

Royal Suite – the room often used by royalty, members of state or the rich and famous. With its walled garden, deck areas and private plunge pool this room give you the maximum privacy. The two-story suite has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, one of which has its own hammam. The master bedroom has the most magnificent ocean views. There is also a lounge and office area on the ground floor. Of course, a Royal Suite comes with its very own butler.

On the outskirts of Grand Baie on the North coast, the Royal Palm is just 47 miles from the airport which takes around an hour by private car. The Royal Palm has its own Heliport so please ask us about helicopter transfers.
