Shandrani Beachcomber Resort & Spa - Mauritius

Over the years as a travel agent, I have been extremely lucky to have visited many hotels on the island of Mauritius, my personal favourite holiday destination!

Last year for a special holiday my husband and myself chose to spend two weeks at the Shandrani Beachcomber Resort & Spa located in the South of the island and just a 10-minute transfer from the airport - prefect when you have just had a long overnight flight! We received a warm welcome on arrival and were just in time for breakfast!

We stayed in a Deluxe Room which have recently been renovated, the rooms are very spacious with a seating area plus a private balcony or terrace, This All Inclusive is one of the finest on the island offering premium branded drinks, fine dining in its 4 Restaurants. Our romantic meal on the beach one evening was special, the fresh lobster was delicious!

Many land and water sports are complimentary including water skiing which was just as well as although great fun, I spent most of the time in the water and not on it!

The resort itself is situated on a peninsula with 3 soft white beaches and the Blue Bay Marine Park is ideal for snorkelling & sailing! If you prefer to chill you don't even have to move from your sun bed as the bartender will bring your drink to you!

There is a 9-hole golf course, tennis courts and mountain bikes to hire should you be feeling energetic or a fantastic Spa if you prefer something a little more relaxing!

If you want to explore the island you can hire a car or there are many excursions that can all be booked at the hotel, from walking with Lions to a Sunset Cruise!

We absolutely love this hotel and will return again very soon!
